يَكونُis الخالُthe beauty mark فيon وَجهِa face مَليحlovely
يَكونُ الخالُ في وَجهِ مَليح
فَيَكسوهُso it clothes it المِلاحَةِloveliness وَالجَمالاand beauty
فَيَكسوهُ المِلاحَةِ وَالجَمالا
A beauty mark lies upon a lovely face,
A beauty mark rests on a lovely face,
and comeliness clothes it in beauty.
and clothes it in loveliness and beauty.
وَلَستَand you do not تَملِtire مِنof نَظَرَlooking إِلَيهِat it
وَلَستَ تَملِ مِن نَظَرَ إِلَيهِ
فَكَيفَso how إِذاif رَأَيتَyou saw الوَجهَthe face خالاa beauty mark
فَكَيفَ إِذا رَأَيتَ الوَجهَ خالا
And you do not tire of gazing at it—
You never tire of gazing at it—
how, then, if you beheld the face as a beauty mark?
so how would it be if you saw the face itself as a beauty mark?
