with gladdening victory,
On the delightful victory
ونُجحُكَand your success فيin المرتَجىwhat is hoped for
ونُجحُكَ في المرتَجى
وفتحُكَand your opening للمرتَجِof what is barred
وفتحُكَ للمرتَجِ
and your success in what you hope for,
And your success in what you desire
and your opening of what was barred,
And your conquest of the coveted
دليلٌa sign علىof كلِّall ماthat which
دليلٌ على كلِّ ما
تحاولُyou attempt أوor تَرْتَجيyou hope for
تحاولُ أو تَرْتَجي
are a sign of success in all
Is evidence of everything
you attempt or hope for.
You are trying or aspiring to
أُموركyour affairs فيماin what تروyou seek (continued)
أُمورك فيما ترو
مُcompletion of 'you seek' واضحةُclear المنهجthe course
مُ واضحةُ المنهج
Your affairs, in whatever you seek,
Your affairs are clear
have a clear course.
In what you show
وشانيكand your hater داميbleeding الشؤوthe skull sutures (continued)
وشانيك دامي الشؤو
نِcompletion of 'the skull sutures' منكَat your hands شقيٌّwretched شجيsorrowful
نِ منكَ شقيٌّ شجي
And your hater, his head bleeding
And your stature is eternally high
at your hands, is wretched and sorrowful.
No misery can bring you down
ومَنْand whoever كانwas فيin حصنهِhis fortress
ومَنْ كان في حصنهِ
ومنand from قَبْلُbefore لمdid not يَخْرُجِcome out
ومن قَبْلُ لم يَخْرُجِ
And whoever was in his fortress
He who was in his fortress
and had not come out before,
And previously did not go out
يُقالُit is said لهto him ليسis not ذاthis
يُقالُ له ليس ذا
بعُشَّكَyour nest (emphatic) قمْrise فادرُجِthen go forth
بعُشَّكَ قمْ فادرُجِ
is told, “This is not
It is said to him arise, come out and mix
your nest; rise and go forth!”
For your perspective descends like
فرأْيُكfor your judgment يتنزلُbrings down النthe stars (continued)
فرأْيُك يتنزلُ الن
جومcompletion of 'the stars' منfrom الأَبرجthe constellations
جوم من الأَبرج
For your judgment brings down the
Stars from the mansions
stars from the constellations.
So hurry crossing the expanses
فعجِّلْso hasten عبورَthe crossing الفراthe Euphrates (continued)
فعجِّلْ عبورَ الفرا
تِcompletion of 'the Euphrates' وأَسْرِand travel by night وسِرْand march وأدلجِand set out early at night
تِ وأَسْرِ وسِرْ وأدلجِ
So hasten the crossing of the Euphrates;
And travel, move stealthily and blend in
and travel by night, march on, and set out at nightfall.
And head towards those countries
وَعُجْand turn نحوَtoward تلكَthose البلاthe lands (continued)
وَعُجْ نحوَ تلكَ البلا
دِcompletion of 'the lands' وعنand from غيرِهاothers besides them عَرِّجِturn aside
دِ وعن غيرِها عَرِّجِ
And turn toward those
And away from others, detour
lands, and turn away from others.

فحرّانُfor Harran والرَّقَتاand the two Raqqas (continued)

نَcompletion of 'the Muslims' ليلَهمtheir night المدَّجيpitch-dark
نَ ليلَهم المدَّجي
And dispel from the Muslims
their pitch-dark night.
