  1. أَنتم سؤلي فلم منعتم سولي

    أنتم أَملي فقربوا مأمولي

    You are my desire—why, then, have you denied me my desire?

    You are my hope, so bring what I hope for near.

  2. مملوككم بمجده المبذول

    يستعطفكم في دمه المطلولِ

    Your slave, with his freely surrendered honor,

    Implores your compassion for his blood, shed unavenged.
