O giver of passages whose necklaces are too sublime

For a praiser’s description of them or an arranger’s stringing,

And one whose virtues have defied enumeration

By the tongues of this age’s panegyrists and describers:

His pavilion in the heights of glory is spacious, and his spring

Of bounty is abundant for whoever hopes for his generosity.

You seek fairness from me—yet have

My ways known anything but kindness and fairness?
