عندَin the eyes of سليمانَSolomon علىfor all قدرِهِhis greatness
هديّةُthe gift النّملةِof the ant مقبولَهْaccepted
In Solomon's eyes, for all his greatness,
With Solomon, the ant's offering is accepted as is its due,
The ant's gift is accepted.
While the slave seems insignificant next to an ant with you -
ويصغرُand is smaller المملوكُthe slave عنthan نملةٍan ant
عندكَin your eyes والرَّحمةُand mercy مأْمولَهْhoped for
And this slave is smaller than an ant
Such is your mercy.
In your eyes, and mercy is hoped for.
Exalt our Master and make me his servant,
رِقِّيmy servitude لمولاناto our lord وملكيand my possessions لهbelong to him
وذِمَّتيand my obligation بالشُّكرِwith gratitude مشغولَهْcharged
My servitude is to our lord, and all I own is his,
My duty is steeped in gratitude.
And I owe a debt of gratitude.
How can one requite a weak and helpless benefactor?
وكيفand how يقضيrepays الحقُّwhat is due ذوone possessing منّةٍstrength
ضعيفةٍfeeble بالعجزِby helplessness معلولَهْimpaired
And how can one repay what is due, with strength
The hallmark of the Lord of Creation
So feeble, impaired by helplessness?
Is an innate generosity and goodness.

And indeed, the nature of the lord of humankind
Is pure, innately imbued with goodness.
