وحرمةِ الوُدِّ الذي بيننا

وحرمةِ الوُدِّ الذي بيننا

وما لنا من كرَمِ العهدِ

وما لنا من كرَمِ العهدِ

By the sanctity of the affection between us,

And by the nobility of the covenant we share,

ما نقضتْ عهدي لكم جَفْوة

ما نقضتْ عهدي لكم جَفْوة

ولا أَحالت حالةٌ وُدِّي

ولا أَحالت حالةٌ وُدِّي

No estrangement has broken my pledge to you,

Nor has any circumstance altered my affection.

ولا تَغيّرتُ ويأْبَى الهوى

ولا تَغيّرتُ ويأْبَى الهوى

وذاكَ في قُرْبٍ وفي بُعْدِ

وذاكَ في قُرْبٍ وفي بُعْدِ

Nor have I changed—love will not allow it—

And so it is, whether near or far.
