And casting off restraint is lovelier than concealing ardent love.

Maidens with budding breasts, alike in age, set out to wage war on us,

And in love's oneness, we admit no partners.

Battalions of heroes—at their hands our blood

Is shed as recompense for preserving affection.

The miracles of my master, the appointed successor, and his offspring

Shone forth, so no doubter can conceal their radiance.

The words of the Prophet, the Chosen One, are proof; is there

A greater and loftier source of authority in sacred law than his words?

His declaration on the Day of Ghadir suffices: that the successor is

Master of all creation—yet it is forgotten and abandoned.

As stated in the Revelation, your guardian is none

But him; and who, after that, would cast doubt?

When the stars of al-Murtada's excellence shone forth,

Glory was their horizon, where they journey by night and follow their course.
