وَتَلَألَأَتand glittered فَوقَabove الصَباحِthe morning عَرائِسٌbrides
وَتَلَألَأَت فَوقَ الصَباحِ عَرائِسٌ
وَتَساقَطَتand fell in succession نَفّاحَةُfragrance-wafting الأَنفاسِbreaths
وَتَساقَطَت نَفّاحَةُ الأَنفاسِ
Brides shimmered above the morning
And brides glittered above the morning,
and cascaded down, breathing fragrance.

هَبَطَتdescended بِروحيinto my soul فيin ضِرامِthe blaze خَيالِهاits vision
هَبَطَت بِروحي في ضِرامِ خَيالِها
أَرضُthe land السَلامِpeace وَخَدَّرَتand numbed إِحساسيmy senses
أَرضُ السَلامِ وَخَدَّرَت إِحساسي
With my soul, into the blaze of its imagining, descended
Into my soul, amid the blaze of its vision, descended
the Land of Peace, and lulled my senses numb.
