Sol 6.1

  1. ولقد يئست من الرئيـ

    ـس ومن بنيه زائده

    Indeed, I have lost hope in the chief,

    Zāʾidah, and in his sons.

  2. وضربتهم عرض الجدا

    ر فليس فيهم فائده

    And I dashed them against the wall,

    for there is no benefit in them.

  3. وغسلت من معروفهم

    كلتا يدي بواحده

    And of their favors I have washed

    both my hands, in a single washing.
