وَجاهَ وجهك يَحميني وَيمنعني

وَجاهَ وجهك يَحميني وَيمنعني

مِن بَغي ذي حسد أَو شامت شاني

مِن بَغي ذي حسد أَو شامت شاني

And the honor of your countenance protects and shields me

Your face protects me and prevents me

From the aggression of an envious person or a gloating hater.

From the malice of an envious or gloating defamer

اني دَعَوتك مِن نيابَتي برع

اني دَعَوتك مِن نيابَتي برع

وَأَنتَ أَسمع من يَدعوه ذو شان

وَأَنتَ أَسمع من يَدعوه ذو شان

Indeed, I have called upon you from my post in Buraʿ,

I have implored you in my distress, O Lord

And you hear best among those whom one in need invokes.

And You are the Most Hearing of one who implores You

وَاستَعينك يا فردا الجَلال عَلى

وَاستَعينك يا فردا الجَلال عَلى

دهر يُحاول بعد الربح خسراني

دهر يُحاول بعد الربح خسراني

And I seek your help, O peerless one in majesty, against

I seek help from You, O Unique in Majesty

Time, which seeks my loss after my gain.

Against a fate that seeks loss after profit

فاِعطف حَنانا عَلى عَبد الرَحيم ومن

فاِعطف حَنانا عَلى عَبد الرَحيم ومن

يَليه في الناس من صحب واخوان

يَليه في الناس من صحب واخوان

So turn tenderly toward ʿAbd al-Raḥīm and those

So have mercy on the servant of the Merciful and on

Who are close to him among the people—companions and brothers.

Those who accompany people as companions and brothers

وامنع حَماى واكرمني وَصل نسبي

وامنع حَماى واكرمني وَصل نسبي

برحمة وَكَرامات وَغُفران

برحمة وَكَرامات وَغُفران

And guard my sanctuary, honor me, and favor my lineage

And protect my protector and honor me and connect my lineage

With mercy, honors, and forgiveness.

With mercy, gifts of grace, and forgiveness

لا تعد عَيناك عَني بالرعاية في

لا تعد عَيناك عَني بالرعاية في

نَفسي وَسرى ومن في اللَه والاني

نَفسي وَسرى ومن في اللَه والاني

Let your eyes not turn away from me in their watchful care for

Do not avert Your eyes from me in caring

My soul, my inward secret, and whoever befriends me for God's sake.

For my soul, my secrets, and those who love God and yearn for Him

وَبعد صلى عَلَيك اللَه ما اِعتَنَقت

وَبعد صلى عَلَيك اللَه ما اِعتَنَقت

ريح الصبا عذبات الاثل والبان

ريح الصبا عذبات الاثل والبان

And then, may God bless you as long as an embrace joins

And may God bless you for as long as the gentle breeze

The east wind and the branch tips of tamarisk and moringa.

Embraces the sweet basil and meadows

وَعمّ صحبك والآل الكِرام سنا

وَعمّ صحبك والآل الكِرام سنا

تَحيَّة منه تهدي كل رضوان

تَحيَّة منه تهدي كل رضوان

And may your companions and noble family be enveloped in the radiance

And may it reach your companions and the honorable family

Of a greeting from Him, bestowing all His good pleasure.

A greeting from Him that guides to all contentment

وَجاد أَرضا حوتك الغَيث منسَجِما

وَجاد أَرضا حوتك الغَيث منسَجِما

يا منتهى صفتي حسن واحسان

يا منتهى صفتي حسن واحسان

And may pouring rain drench the earth that holds you,

And may the land that embraced you send down copious rain

O pinnacle of the twin qualities of beauty and beneficence.

O epitome of my praise for beauty and beneficence
