بِالشّيبِ عُنْوانُ البلى

Carrying a staff, for one afflicted

with gray hair, is a sign of decay.

With grey hair is the mark of decay

وُصِفَ المُسافرُ أَنّهُ

أَلقى العَصا كي يَنزِلا
