Indeed, the sons of Qamīʾah ibn Saʿd

are all descended from an interloper and a slave.

They are more prone to evil than crooked-tailed dogs,

and they are more abject than crooked-tailed dogs.

They trace their descent between animal hair and a rawhide thong,

slaves, ranging from the helpless to the vile.

If they see a fresh grave,

they dig into it as a mole burrows.

Dig, for you have reached the bottom of the burial niche,

and a skull and a piece of a striped cloak.
