إِنَّ أَبا غانِمٍ حُمَيداً

إِنَّ أَبا غانِمٍ حُمَيداً

غَيث عَلى المُعتَفينَ هامى

غَيث عَلى المُعتَفينَ هامى

Indeed, Abu Ghanim, Humayd,

Indeed Abu Ghanim is praised

Is rain pouring upon those who seek his bounty.

A rain upon the troubled

صَوَّرَهُ اللَهُ سَيفَ حَتفٍ

صَوَّرَهُ اللَهُ سَيفَ حَتفٍ

وَبابَ رِزقٍ عَلى الأَنامِ

وَبابَ رِزقٍ عَلى الأَنامِ

God fashioned him into a sword of death,

God has shaped him a decisive sword

And a gate of sustenance for humankind.

And a door of sustenance for people

يا مانِعَ الأَرضِ بِالعَوالي

يا مانِعَ الأَرضِ بِالعَوالي

وَالنَعَمِ الجَمَّةِ العِظامِ

وَالنَعَمِ الجَمَّةِ العِظامِ

O defender of the land with tall spears,

O withholder of the land with fortresses

And of the plentiful, great herds:

And abundant great bounties

لَيسَ مِنَ السوءِ في مَعاذٍ

لَيسَ مِنَ السوءِ في مَعاذٍ

مَن لَم يَكُن مِنكَ في ذِمامِ

مَن لَم يَكُن مِنكَ في ذِمامِ

None is sheltered from harm

There is no evil in Ma'ath

Who is not under your protection.

Who was not protected by you

وَما تَعَمَّدتُ فيكَ وَصفاً

وَما تَعَمَّدتُ فيكَ وَصفاً

إِلّا تَقَدَّمتَهُ أَمامي

إِلّا تَقَدَّمتَهُ أَمامي

And never have I attempted a description of you

And I did not intend in you an attribution

But you have outstripped it ahead of me.

Except you preceded it before me

فَقَد تَناهَت بِكَ المَعالي

فَقَد تَناهَت بِكَ المَعالي

وَاِنقَطَعَت مُدَّةُ الكَلامِ

وَاِنقَطَعَت مُدَّةُ الكَلامِ

For noble qualities have reached their utmost in you,

So the glories have ended in you

And the span of speech has come to an end.

And the period of speech has been cut off

أَجَدَّ شَهراً وَأَبلِ شَهراً

أَجَدَّ شَهراً وَأَبلِ شَهراً

وَاِسلَم عَلى الدَهر أَلف عامِ

وَاِسلَم عَلى الدَهر أَلف عامِ

Renew one month and wear another out,

More glorious month and most glorious month

And remain safe through the ages for a thousand years.

And peace upon time for a thousand years
