تَكَفَّلَ ساكِني الدُنيا حُمَيدٌ

تَكَفَّلَ ساكِني الدُنيا حُمَيدٌ

فَقَد أَضحوا لَهُ فيها عِيالا

فَقَد أَضحوا لَهُ فيها عِيالا

Humayd has undertaken the care of the world's inhabitants;

Take care, people of this world

So they have become his dependents within it.

For you have become his children

كَأَنَّ أَباهُ آدمَ كانَ أَوصى

كَأَنَّ أَباهُ آدمَ كانَ أَوصى

إِلَيهِ أَن يَعولَهُمُ فَعالا

إِلَيهِ أَن يَعولَهُمُ فَعالا

As though his father Adam had instructed

As if their father Adam had instructed
