نَحنُ الَّذينَ إِذا سَما لِفَخارِهِم

نَحنُ الَّذينَ إِذا سَما لِفَخارِهِم

ذو الفَخرِ أَقعَدَهُ هُناكَ القُعدُدُ

ذو الفَخرِ أَقعَدَهُ هُناكَ القُعدُدُ

We are those—if anyone rises toward our glory,

We are those when they boast of their pride

That proud man is held back there by closeness of kinship.

The proud one is made to sit right there humbled

اِفخَر بِنا إِن كُنتَ يَوماً فاخِراً

اِفخَر بِنا إِن كُنتَ يَوماً فاخِراً

تَلقَ الأُلى فَخَروا بِفَخرِكَ أُفرِدوا

تَلقَ الأُلى فَخَروا بِفَخرِكَ أُفرِدوا

Boast of us, if ever you are to boast;

Boast through us if one day you are proud

You will find those who boasted of your glory set apart.

You will meet peers and be singled out through your boasting

قُل يا اِبنَ مَخزومٍ لِكُلِّ مُفاخِرٍ

قُل يا اِبنَ مَخزومٍ لِكُلِّ مُفاخِرٍ

مِنّا المُبارَكُ ذو الرِسالَةِ أَحمَدُ

مِنّا المُبارَكُ ذو الرِسالَةِ أَحمَدُ

Say, O son of Makhzum, to every rival in boasting:

Say O son of Makhzoom to every boaster

From among us is the blessed bearer of the message, Ahmad.

From us is the blessed one, the messenger Ahmad

ماذا يَقولُ ذَوو الفَخارِ هُنا لَكُم

ماذا يَقولُ ذَوو الفَخارِ هُنا لَكُم

هَيهاتَ ذَلِكَ هَل يُنالُ الفَرقَدُ

هَيهاتَ ذَلِكَ هَل يُنالُ الفَرقَدُ

What do the men of pride say to you here?

What can those with pride say to you here

Far off is that! Can the Farqad star be reached?

Alas! That cannot be, can the chick attain it
