The vile focused on their desires

and imposed humiliation upon the noble.

فشكوت ما ألقاه من

So I complained of what I suffer from

فكأنّه بعد النعي

وشكا غليّ فلم يزل

but only afflicted us or hated us.

رغدا وإن يابى حمانا

in abundance, even if it rejects our protected land.
