The gift of the Possessor of Might is better than your giving.

The gift of the generous is better than yours

And His provision is abundant, hoped for and awaited.

His provision is vast, hoped for and awaited

أنتم مكدّر ما تعطون سائلكم

أنتم مكدّر ما تعطون سائلكم

والله يعطي فلا منّ ولا كدر

والله يعطي فلا منّ ولا كدر

You taint what you give your petitioner.

You give begrudgingly when asked

And God gives, with neither reproachful reminders of favors nor taint.

While God gives freely, without reluctance or bitterness
