Days and nights pass over the youth
And night covers him, and morning keeps him company.
While night covers him and morning continues it

وافضل آمال الفتى ما يعاجله
And his hopes are varied, but death stands in their way.
And he has diverse hopes, while without them is perdition
And the best of a young man's hopes is what comes to him swiftly.
And the best hopes of a youth are those which avail him

And I have never seen a person devoid of some virtue,
And I have not seen a human devoid of virtue
Even if his sins and vices are many.
Though numerous were his sins and vices
