في هموم وانفراد وحزن

I am alone in a shabby house,

I am alone in a neglected home

amid worries, seclusion, and sorrow.

In worries, isolation, and sadness

ليس للوحدة إلا واحد

ليس للوحدة إلا واحد

هو للواحد عون وسكن

هو للواحد عون وسكن

Solitude has none but the One;

Loneliness has but one

He is the lone one's help and solace.

He is for the one help and tranquility

كم تحاسرت بجهلي زمنا

كم تحاسرت بجهلي زمنا

وعصيت الله في مرّ الزمن

وعصيت الله في مرّ الزمن

How long I acted rashly in my ignorance,

How much in my ignorance I rebelled once

and disobeyed God as time passed!

And disobeyed God in the bitterness of time

فإذا لم يرحم الواحد من

فإذا لم يرحم الواحد من

خلق الواحد من ضعف فمن

خلق الواحد من ضعف فمن

So if the One does not have mercy on the one whom

So if the One does not have mercy on

the One created from weakness, then who will?

The one He created in weakness, then who?
