وَنَفى الهَوى عَني مَنامي
Woe to me! I am worn down by sickness.
Woe to me, I suffer from lovesickness
And love has banished my sleep from me.
And longing has denied me sleep

إِنّي أَرى سَبَبَ الهَوى

Indeed, I see that the cause of love
I see the cause of passion
will make me taste the bitterness of death.
Will make me taste bitter sorrow

Is blind and deaf to reason
