Will you allow a lovesick man to visit you?
For with you are the delights of hearing and sight.
لاnot يُضمِرُharbors السوءَill intent إِنif طالَlasts long الجُلوسُthe sitting بِهِfor him
عَفُّchaste الضَميرِof heart وَلَكِنand yet فاسِقُwanton النَظَرِin gaze
He harbors no ill intent, even if he lingers long:
Chaste of heart, and yet wanton in his gaze.
