Our eyes speak for us upon our faces,

while we are silent and love speaks.

And sometimes we grow angry and are pleased through our gaze,

and this between us remains unknown.

When we guard against an informer's glance,

our eyes then answer for us and understand.

And if the tale-bearer makes insinuations, we pardon out of nobility,

and one who loves rises above the words of foes.
