O gazelle of gold,
O golden gazelle,
you have left me in torment.
You have left me in distress.

Is this not a wonder?
Is this not a wonder?
Indeed—and beyond all wonder.
Indeed—and more than a wonder.

عَرَفتُكُم بِالكَذِبِ
The very first time I put you to the test,
The first time I put you to the test,
I knew you by your lies.
I found you to be liars.

From the lying tale-bearers;
