سَقياً وَرَعياً لَمَن تَذكُّرُهُ

أَسهَرَ عَيني وَالناسُ هادونا

May rain and care bless the one whose remembrance

Watering and shepherding for the one I remember

Kept my eye awake while others rested,

Who keeps my eyes awake while people slumber

وَمَن بِوَجهي مَن حُبِّهُ عَلَمٌ

وَمَن بِوَجهي مَن حُبِّهُ عَلَمٌ

لَيسَ يَراهُ إِلّا المُحِبّونا

لَيسَ يَراهُ إِلّا المُحِبّونا

And the one for love of whom my face bears a sign

And he whose love shows in my face

That none but lovers see.

None can see it but the lovers
