May God curse a band of the Jews

At the valley bend between Julayjil and Sirar:

A people—when the grape juice roars, you see them

With their eyes red from the new wine.

Quraysh has carried off noble deeds and high honor,

And baseness lies beneath the turbans of the Ansar.

So leave noble deeds alone; you are not worthy of them,

And take up your hoes, sons of al-Najjar.

Indeed, the horsemen know your backs,

You sons of every broad-bottomed tiller.

And when you trace the lineage of al-Furayʿah's son, you think him

    Like a donkey foal between a she-ass and a he-ass.
