تَميلُ مَعَ الهَوى يا غُصن بان
Why do you turn me away, when I always see you
Why do you turn away, while I see that
Swaying with desire, O bough of the bān tree?
you always yield to desire, O bending bough?
رُوَيدَكَtake your time قَدalready قَتَلتَyou have slain مِنَthrough التَصابيflirtation

وَذاكَ دمى بِاِطراف البنان
Gently now—you have slain me with your flirtation,
Your turning has killed me with longing -
And that is my blood upon your fingertips.
and that is my blood on the tips of the branches.
