من كَوكَب الاِقبال لاحَ سعود

سِحرا وَعَم ضِياؤُهُ المَشهود

From the star of prosperity, good fortune shone forth,

enchantingly, and its manifest radiance spread everywhere.

وَتبلجت درر العُلا وَتبرجت

وَتبلجت درر العُلا وَتبرجت

وَتَنظَّمَت من حُسنِهِن عُقود

وَتَنظَّمَت من حُسنِهِن عُقود

The pearls of glory gleamed and displayed their beauty,

and necklaces were strung from their loveliness.

وَتَلألأت في الاِفق أَقمارُ الهُدى

وَتَلألأت في الاِفق أَقمارُ الهُدى

وَتفتحت في الرَوضِ مِنهُ وُرود

وَتفتحت في الرَوضِ مِنهُ وُرود

The moons of guidance glittered on the horizon,

and roses from it blossomed in the garden.

نور لَه في الخافِقينَ توهج

نور لَه في الخافِقينَ توهج

وَبروق لِلاِبصار مِنهُ شُهود

وَبروق لِلاِبصار مِنهُ شُهود

A light whose glow spans east and west,

and lightning flashes from it stand as witnesses before the eyes.

وَالعيد أَقبل وَالمَسَرَّة أَشرَقَت

وَالعيد أَقبل وَالمَسَرَّة أَشرَقَت

وَبَدا اِلَيكَ سُرورُهُ المَعهود

وَبَدا اِلَيكَ سُرورُهُ المَعهود

The festival arrived, and joy shone forth,

and its familiar gladness appeared to you.

اللَهُ أَكبَر عيد مجد مُقبِل

اللَهُ أَكبَر عيد مجد مُقبِل

شَغفا وَيَوم بِالهَنا مَسعود

شَغفا وَيَوم بِالهَنا مَسعود

God is greatest! A festival of glory approaches

with longing, and a day blessed with happiness.

عيد بمينك قَد بَدَت آياتِه

عيد بمينك قَد بَدَت آياتِه

وَالعيدان تك فيه فَهُوَ سَعيد

وَالعيدان تك فيه فَهُوَ سَعيد

A festival whose signs have appeared through your good fortune,

and the festival, if you are present, is joyous.

لما غَدت أَيّامُكُم غرر المُنى

لما غَدت أَيّامُكُم غرر المُنى

وافى لِيشرف بِالبَلقاء العيد

وافى لِيشرف بِالبَلقاء العيد

When your days became the fairest of wishes,

the festival arrived to be honored in al-Balqa.

وَالدَهرُ يَجهَر بِالتَهاني قائِلاً

وَالدَهرُ يَجهَر بِالتَهاني قائِلاً

نِلت السعود وسرك التَأييد

نِلت السعود وسرك التَأييد

And Time proclaims congratulations aloud, saying:

You have attained good fortune, and support has gladdened you.

مَنعت ماهب الصبا وَيَكون في

مَنعت ماهب الصبا وَيَكون في

أَضعاف أَمثال لَهُ التَعبيد

أَضعاف أَمثال لَهُ التَعبيد

May you be protected as long as the east wind blows, and may

subjugation to him be multiplied many times over.

وَبَدا بِكَ الاِسعادُ وَالاِفضالُ وَال

وَبَدا بِكَ الاِسعادُ وَالاِفضالُ وَال

إِقبال كل في حماك عبيد

إِقبال كل في حماك عبيد

And through you appeared happiness, generosity, and

prosperity—all are servants under your protection.

يا مَن سَرت في العالَمين صَفاته

يا مَن سَرت في العالَمين صَفاته

أَنتَ المُنى وَالعَون وَالمَقصود

أَنتَ المُنى وَالعَون وَالمَقصود

O you whose qualities have spread throughout the worlds,

you are our heart’s desire, our help, and the one we seek.
