I breathe their scent, for I see them as the poetry of gods,

I sense them when I see them, hair of goddesses,

And fragrance, like poetry, holds a person spellbound.

And fragrance like hair in bewitching humankind.

The brides of blossoms have surpassed, in rivalry,

Brides of flowers surpassed in rivalry

Human brides in beauty and colors.

Brides of people in beauty and colors.

أحنو عليها كأني عاشق وأب

أحنو عليها كأني عاشق وأب

أو أنها خلقت من قلب الحاني

أو أنها خلقت من قلب الحاني

I cherish them, as though I were a lover and a father,

I pity them as if I were a lover and father

Or as though they were created from the tender one's heart.

Or as if they were created from the heart of an affectionate one.
