O you who offer both your cheeks,

O you who offer your cheeks,

if you keep anger in check,

If you can restrain your rage,

بذلت خدّا لنشأت

بذلت خدّا لنشأت

فجد بخد لكاظم

فجد بخد لكاظم

you offered a cheek to Nash’at;

You offered a cheek to be struck,

then be generous with a cheek for Kazim.

So offer another cheek to the striker.
