يا طاميَ البحر منك الفضل والجود

ووردك العذب للزوار مورود

O overflowing sea, from you come bounty and generosity.

O the generous sea visitor, all grace and kindness come from you,

And visitors frequent your sweet watering place.

Your sweet roses are offered to all guests,

أنت الفتوة في جود وفي كرم

أنت الفتوة في جود وفي كرم

حماك للنجح محجوج ومقصود

حماك للنجح محجوج ومقصود

You are chivalry itself in generosity and magnanimity.

You are the epitome of generosity and nobility,

Your sanctuary is a place of pilgrimage, sought for success.

Your success protected and intended.

من زار قبرك بالإخلاص كان له

من زار قبرك بالإخلاص كان له

سعد ومجد وإقبال وتأييد

سعد ومجد وإقبال وتأييد

Whoever visits your tomb with sincerity receives

Whoever visits your grave sincerely, gains

good fortune, glory, prosperity, and support.

Good fortune, glory, prosperity, and support,

ونال ما رام مهما كان مقصده

ونال ما رام مهما كان مقصده

وعاد وهو بفيض الفضل مرفود

وعاد وهو بفيض الفضل مرفود

And attains what he seeks, whatever his purpose may be,

And attains whatever he hopes for,

and returns sustained by an outpouring of bounty.

Returning content with abundant grace.

ومنك يعلو لهام النجم مقعده

ومنك يعلو لهام النجم مقعده

ويزدهى وهو بالنعماء محسود

ويزدهى وهو بالنعماء محسود

And through you his seat rises to the star's crown,

Through you the star of glory ascends its throne,

and he exults, envied for his blessings.

Shining brightly, envied for its blessings.

يا أحمد البدوى الغوث في مدد

يا أحمد البدوى الغوث في مدد

فضل العطا عنك مشهور ومشهود

فضل العطا عنك مشهور ومشهود

O Ahmad al-Badawi, grant succor through your aid;

O Ahmed the Bedouin, helper in time of need,

the bounty of your giving is renowned and witnessed.

Your exceptional generosity is renowned and witnessed.

يابن النبي أراني فرع دوحتكم

يابن النبي أراني فرع دوحتكم

والفرع من أهله لا شك معدود

والفرع من أهله لا شك معدود

O son of the Prophet, I see myself as a branch of your great tree,

O son of the Prophet, count me a branch of your tree,

and a branch is surely counted among its own kin.

And a branch is doubtless part of its family.

وقد أتيتك مع أهلى ومع ولدى

وقد أتيتك مع أهلى ومع ولدى

نرجوك عطفا فمنك العطف معهود

نرجوك عطفا فمنك العطف معهود

And I have come to you with my family and my child.

I've come to you with my household and children,

We beseech you for compassion, for compassion is your custom.

Seeking your compassion, for that is your custom.

وقد نزلنا الحمى والنفس غايتها

وقد نزلنا الحمى والنفس غايتها

سر القبول فهذا السر منشود

سر القبول فهذا السر منشود

And we have alighted in the sanctuary; the soul's aim is

We've come to the sanctuary, our souls yearning

the secret of acceptance, for this is the secret sought.

For acceptance - this secret is sought.

ومن أتاك بحسن القصد كان له

ومن أتاك بحسن القصد كان له

لواء عز بيمنى اليمن معقود

لواء عز بيمنى اليمن معقود

And whoever comes to you with good intent receives

Who approaches you with good faith, for him

a banner of glory bound by the right hand of good fortune.

The banner of might is tied, by the right hand of Yemen.

فاقبل زيارتنا وانظر لحاجتنا

فاقبل زيارتنا وانظر لحاجتنا

فظل فضلك فوق الكل ممدود

فظل فضلك فوق الكل ممدود

So accept our visit and look upon our need,

Accept our visit and heed our need,

for the shade of your bounty is spread over all.

For your shade extends above all.

يا قطب دائرة الأقطاب أنت لنا

يا قطب دائرة الأقطاب أنت لنا

سيف بأفئدة الأعداء مغمود

سيف بأفئدة الأعداء مغمود

O Pole of the circle of Poles, you are for us

O pole of the circle of all saints, you are for us

a sword sheathed in the hearts of enemies.

A sword plunging into the hearts of foes.

فانحر بسيفك نحر البغي من فئة

فانحر بسيفك نحر البغي من فئة

بالبغي حظهم والله منكود

بالبغي حظهم والله منكود

So with your sword slit the throat of a faction's tyranny;

So slay with your sword the tyranny of the hostile horde,

through tyranny their lot is, by God, blighted.

Whose lot is evil, accursed by God through you.

فأنت قائدنا والشوق رائدنا

فأنت قائدنا والشوق رائدنا

وذلك اليوم فيما بيننا عيد

وذلك اليوم فيما بيننا عيد

For you are our leader, and longing is our guide,

You are our leader, yearning our guide,

and that day is a festival among us.

That day, between us, is a feast,

لا زال هذا الحمى للك لمعتصما

لا زال هذا الحمى للك لمعتصما

ما أبرق البرق أو بما أورق العود

ما أبرق البرق أو بما أورق العود

May this sanctuary ever remain a refuge for all,

This sanctuary will ever be your refuge,

as long as lightning flashes, or for as long as the bough puts forth leaves.

As long as lightning flashes or wood kindles fire.
