يا شفيع الورى وغوث البرايا

قلّ صبرى وضاق صدرى بدائي

O Intercessor of creation and Relief of the wilderness

My patience has worn thin and my chest tightens with my affliction

عز برئى على الأطباء طرا

فاسقنى من يديك كاس الشفاء

My case has puzzled all physicians

So give me from your hand the cup of healing

نظرة منك منحة وعطاء

ودواء يا جد أيّ دواء

A glance from you is a gift and bestowal

And medicine, O grandfather, what medicine!

فبحق القرآن والشرع زرني

وبحق الحسين حقق رجائي

So by the right of the Qur'an and Sacred Law visit me

And by the right of al-Hussain fulfill my hope
