أتيتك يا إمام إليك أشكو

أتيتك يا إمام إليك أشكو

أناسا قد بغوا ظلما وجاروا

أناسا قد بغوا ظلما وجاروا

I have come to you, O Imam, to complain to you

I come to you, O Imam, and to you I complain

Of people who have transgressed unjustly and acted oppressively.

Of people who have wronged me and acted unjustly

ومالى غير جاهك من سبيل

ومالى غير جاهك من سبيل

عسانى من تعنتهم أجار

عسانى من تعنتهم أجار

And I have no recourse but your influence;

I have no refuge but your support

May I be protected from their obstinacy.

I hope through you I find deliverance from their tyranny

رجوتك نظرة من فيض فضل

رجوتك نظرة من فيض فضل

فمالى عن بعادكم اصطبار

فمالى عن بعادكم اصطبار

I have asked you for a glance from your overflowing bounty,

I beg but a glance from your abundant grace

For I cannot bear separation from you.

For without you I have no patience or solace

فخلّصني من الأهوال إنى

فخلّصني من الأهوال إنى

نزيل والنزيل بكم يجار

نزيل والنزيل بكم يجار

So deliver me from terrors; indeed, I am

Save me from these terrors, I implore

A guest, and through you a guest is granted protection.

A stranger, and strangers find refuge through you
