Await ease after hardship and distress.

For distress's utmost limit is where relief begins.

Never will you see a crisis that is not followed

By ease that tells it, 'O crisis, give way!'

The events of time are beyond counting.

For time is like the sea in its waves and depths.

And we have never heard of a sea that stayed turbulent,

Nor of a strong wind that remained in tumult.

The wind grows still, and the waves follow it.

And dawn's signs erase the night with their radiance.

So do not narrow a space that has grown wide,

For God has the greater claim on us in a moment of distress.

Soon you will see the terrors calmed,

And all follow a path free of crookedness.

And the heart grows still, free from fear and alarm,

And all live at ease, free from terror and tumult.

And the Chosen One, the Guide, and his family look

Upon us with an eye of favor, with elevation in rank.

May God bless him whenever there stride swiftly

Toward him pale camels, moved to sorrow by a lilting chant.
