إِن زُرتَ ساحَتَهُ تَبغي سَماحَتَهُ

أَرَدتُكَ راحَتُهُ بِالصَوبِ وَالديمِ

أَرَدتُكَ راحَتُهُ بِالصَوبِ وَالديمِ

If you visit his courtyard seeking his generosity,

If you visit his abode seeking his generosity

his palm lays you low with downpours and steady rains.

I wanted you to find comfort in his direction and protection

أَخلاقُهُ كَرَمٌ أَقوالُهُ نَعَمٌ

أَخلاقُهُ كَرَمٌ أَقوالُهُ نَعَمٌ

بِقَولِهِ نَعَم قَد لَحَّ في نعَمِ

بِقَولِهِ نَعَم قَد لَحَّ في نعَمِ

His character is generosity; his words are 'yes.'

His morals are generosity, his words are kindness

By saying 'yes,' he has persisted in bestowing favors.

With his words of kindness he excels in kindness

ما قالَ لا قَطُّ إِلّا في تَشَهُّدِهِ

ما قالَ لا قَطُّ إِلّا في تَشَهُّدِهِ

لَولا التَشَهُّدُ لَم تَخطَر لَهُ بِفَمِ

لَولا التَشَهُّدُ لَم تَخطَر لَهُ بِفَمِ

He never said 'no' except in his testimony of faith;

He never said no, except in his testament

were it not for that testimony, 'no' would never have crossed his lips.

If not for the testament, the word would not have crossed his lips
