1. إنَّ احتفال المرء بالمرء لا

    أحبُّه إلا مع الاكتفا

    Indeed, a person's regard for another—I do not

    like it unless it is kept to what suffices.

  2. مبالغات النَّاس مذمومةٌ

    فاسلك سبيل القصد في الاحتفا

    People's excesses are blameworthy;

    so follow the path of moderation in showing regard.
