    Wreak havoc as you please—no, you will not attain your aim.

    And mobilize falsehood, aggression, and suspicion.

    يمورُ، نُطعِمُهُ البهتانَ والكذبا

    Around us is a trench, blazing like the sun;

    It seethes; we feed it slander and lies.

    Your past—no trace of its history remains.

    So what use is a past to you once it has set?

    Do not kindle war out of folly or guile,

    For you will be the first to become its firewood.
