يا عَلياً إِني المَعالي تَرقى

يا عَلياً إِني المَعالي تَرقى

لَكَ بَشر بِما بِلَغت جَميل

لَكَ بَشر بِما بِلَغت جَميل

O Ali, I affirm: you ascend to lofty heights.

O Ali, I bring you glad tidings

Beautiful glad tidings are yours for what you have attained.

Of what you have attained, most sublime

دُمت في رفعة وَحُسن اِبتِهاج

دُمت في رفعة وَحُسن اِبتِهاج

طُول عُمر لَكَ المَقام الجَليل

طُول عُمر لَكَ المَقام الجَليل

May you remain in eminence and joyful delight,

May you remain exalted and joyous

May the noble station be yours throughout your life.

With a life of greatness that endures all time

بِكَ بَدر العُلوم أَضحَت تَهني

بِكَ بَدر العُلوم أَضحَت تَهني

بِعُلاها وَأَنتَ فيها وَكيل

بِعُلاها وَأَنتَ فيها وَكيل

Through you, the full moon of learning has come to rejoice

With you the moon of knowledge now shines

In its lofty standing, while you serve there as deputy.

Resplendent in its heights, and you its guide

وَغَدَت أَهلَها بِكَ الدَهر تَحظى

وَغَدَت أَهلَها بِكَ الدَهر تَحظى

وَإِلَيكَ التاريخ فيها دَليل

وَإِلَيكَ التاريخ فيها دَليل

And its people now enjoy good fortune through you for all time;

And its people through you now fortune find

And its history bears witness to you.

History points to you, their glory and pride

مُنذُ زدت قالَت بِمَجد عَلياً

مُنذُ زدت قالَت بِمَجد عَلياً

أَنتَ بُشرى لَنا وَنعم الوَكيل

أَنتَ بُشرى لَنا وَنعم الوَكيل

Since you advanced, it has proudly said: 'Ali,

From early on it spoke with Ali's renown

You are glad tidings to us, and what an excellent deputy!'

You are our glad tiding, the best we could hope for, and faithful ally
