  1. تَأله في الوَرى فَرعون مُوسى

    وَخامر عَقله حُب الرِئاسة

    Moses’ Pharaoh claimed godhood among humankind.

    And love of leadership possessed his mind.

  2. وَلا يَهوى سِوى شَره بِفلس

    وَشيمته الدَناءة وَالخَساسة

    And he longs only, greedily, for a copper coin.

    And his nature is baseness and vileness.
