مَحمود باشا بَعيد الفطر بشراكا

وَكُل عام وَعين الأُنس تَرعاكا

Mahmoud Pasha, glad tidings to you on Eid al-Fitr!

Mahmoud Basha, Eid is a joy with you

And every year, may the eye of delight watch over you.

And every year the eyes of intimacy watch over you

وَدام عيدك في أنس وَفي فَرَح

وَدام عيدك في أنس وَفي فَرَح

وَدُمت مُبتَهجاً في ظل عَلياكا

وَدُمت مُبتَهجاً في ظل عَلياكا

And may your Eid endure in delight and joy,

May your Eid last with intimacy and joy

And may you remain jubilant in the shade of your eminence.

And may you remain delighted in the shade of your sublimity

بِكَ الزَمن سَعيد لَيسَ يَأنسه

بِكَ الزَمن سَعيد لَيسَ يَأنسه

إِلا وُجودك مَسروراً بِمرآكا

إِلا وُجودك مَسروراً بِمرآكا

Through you, time is happy; nothing gladdens it

With you time is happy, it finds no comfort

But your presence, as it rejoices at the sight of you.

Except your pleasant existence smiling at its mirror

وَلِلمعالي العلا في ظل ساحتكم

وَلِلمعالي العلا في ظل ساحتكم

وَكَم أَحاط جَميل الفَضل مَعناكا

وَكَم أَحاط جَميل الفَضل مَعناكا

And noble deeds find eminence in the shade of your courtyard,

And for the lofty glories in your shade

And how often the beauty of generosity has enfolded your essence!

How much has the beauty of favor surrounded you

وَعَم خاصة العلياء فَضلَكُم

وَعَم خاصة العلياء فَضلَكُم

وَخَصَ عامة الاسعاد محياكا

وَخَصَ عامة الاسعاد محياكا

And your generosity has encompassed the exalted elite,

The special favor of the eminent covers you

And all good fortune has singled out your countenance.

And the general happiness of prosperity has singled you out

دامَت سَعادتكم وَالدَهر مُفتخر

دامَت سَعادتكم وَالدَهر مُفتخر

عَلى الدَوام بِما قَد نال مسعاكا

عَلى الدَوام بِما قَد نال مسعاكا

May your happiness endure, while time takes pride

May your happiness last, and time remains proud

Forever in what your striving has attained.

Forever with what it has attained of your reputation

مَسعاك ما مال إِلّا لِلعُلا أَبَدا

مَسعاك ما مال إِلّا لِلعُلا أَبَدا

فَلِلمَعالي أَدام اللَه مرقاكا

فَلِلمَعالي أَدام اللَه مرقاكا

Your striving has never inclined toward anything but the heights;

Your reputation inclined only to the heights, never down

So may God perpetuate your ascent to noble heights.

So may God make your prominence last forever

وَما لفهمي مَثيل يَوم أَمدحكم

وَما لفهمي مَثيل يَوم أَمدحكم

وَلِلثَناء الشَذا مِن طيب مَنواكا

وَلِلثَناء الشَذا مِن طيب مَنواكا

And my understanding has no equal on the day I praise you,

And my understanding has no equal when I praise you

And praise draws its fragrance from the sweetness of your aspirations.

And praise has the finest sincerity of intention towards you

قَد هَل عيد الهَنا يَبغي السُرور بِكُم

قَد هَل عيد الهَنا يَبغي السُرور بِكُم

كان تَهنى بِهِ مِن يَوم وافاكا

كان تَهنى بِهِ مِن يَوم وافاكا

The feast of happiness has dawned, seeking joy through you;

The Eid holiday has arrived wanting joy with you

It had rejoiced in that joy since the day it came to you.

It congratulates whoever has joined you since the day you met

فَدُم بِعيدك مَسروراً وَدم فَرحا

فَدُم بِعيدك مَسروراً وَدم فَرحا

بِدَوام نَجل سَما في عز مَرعاكا

بِدَوام نَجل سَما في عز مَرعاكا

So remain happy on your Eid, and remain joyful,

So let your Eid remain joyful and keep rejoicing

Through the enduring life of a son who rose high in the glory of your care.

In the lasting eminence of a stellar son in your honorable care

أَدامَهُ اللَه مَسروراً بعزكم

أَدامَهُ اللَه مَسروراً بعزكم

وَنال مكرمة طابَت بِنعماكا

وَنال مكرمة طابَت بِنعماكا

May God preserve him, happy in your glory,

May God make it last, joyful in your glory

And may he gain an honor made sweet by your blessings.

And may it attain the honor that your favors have perfected

ما دُمت قال لِسان السَعد في فَرَح
