Indeed, my soul was brought low amid my distress and hardship.
My soul has become worthless in my adversity and distress,
How, then, can I find deliverance, or a lessening of my stumbling?
So how can I find deliverance, or my stumbling lead to success?

when [they died?] toward calamity, I said, 'I shall attain it.'
That when misfortunes befall me, I may attain it.

So be my helper, Prophet of God, for God's sake.
For he who attains your protection has attained deliverance.
For whoever has you as his refuge has attained [unclear word].

How, then, could I suffer injustice, when your standing is guidance for me?
My vigor and strength faded, so I came seeking you,
And my yearning has [apparently] grown intense, so I came to you with purpose.
Hoping that through your mercy my sins may be forgiven.

And I feared my sin; may I attain it.
