صليبيةٌ يا قوم أم عنصريةٌ

حروبُكُمُ والدين هذا أم الشركُ

Crusading, O people, or racist—

are your wars? And is this religion, or polytheism?

وجيرانكم أعداؤكم أم حماتُكم

وجيرانكم أعداؤكم أم حماتُكم

وأعداءُ عيسى المسلمون أم التركُ

وأعداءُ عيسى المسلمون أم التركُ

And are your neighbors your enemies, or your protectors?

And are Jesus’ enemies the Muslims, or the Turks?

فهل كان عيسى يطلب الثأر بالخنا

فهل كان عيسى يطلب الثأر بالخنا

وهل كان من أخلاقه البغي والفتك

وهل كان من أخلاقه البغي والفتك

So did Jesus seek vengeance through obscenity?

And were oppression and treacherous killing part of his character?

أقر بأضغان النفوس ملوكُكُم

أقر بأضغان النفوس ملوكُكُم

ومن كان في شك فقد ذهب الشك

ومن كان في شك فقد ذهب الشك

Your kings have admitted to the rancor in their souls;

and for whoever was in doubt, the doubt has vanished.

أفي كل بر يحمل الشرَّ جحفلٌ

أفي كل بر يحمل الشرَّ جحفلٌ

وفي كل بحر يرتمي بالأذى فُلك

وفي كل بحر يرتمي بالأذى فُلك

Is there in every land a host bearing evil,

and in every sea a ship hurtling forth with harm?

تعالوا فما الخطب الذي توسعونه

تعالوا فما الخطب الذي توسعونه

على الشرق إلا محشر لكم ضنك

على الشرق إلا محشر لكم ضنك

Come, then: the calamity you spread

upon the East is nothing but a dire place of judgment for you.

شكاكم إلى أشياعكم فتنكروا

شكاكم إلى أشياعكم فتنكروا

فعاد إلى أسيافه والقنا يشكو

فعاد إلى أسيافه والقنا يشكو

The East complained of you to your partisans, but they turned away;

so it returned to its swords and spears, complaining.

تخر الجبال الراسيات عليكم

تخر الجبال الراسيات عليكم

ولا تنقضي هذي الخلافة والملك

ولا تنقضي هذي الخلافة والملك

The firmly rooted mountains shall crash down upon you,

yet this caliphate and kingship shall not pass away.
