O majority of my people in their politics,

All whom they chose and elected to bear the burden:

In Egypt the view of those who work for her has become established,

After they fought one another and waged war over their views.

Bear today the burdens imposed and the expectations placed

Upon your souls by the fates and your companions.

This was not the first battlefield for your steeds,

Nor were those who charged forth your last horsemen.

Before you, from fresh events to

The best outcome, lie the rugged path and the means.

Do not feel secure in any condition, even if it is good,

For the air grows still awhile, then turns turbulent.

In my eyes, you have your excuses and your argument,

And among you the enemy's watchers lie in wait.

And can your tongues strike at the ghouls,

While their steel and flame surround you?

Enough for the homeland that you keep its remnant safe from them,

Until reclaiming what they stole becomes easy for you.

And if one age brings a little benefit,

Then another may bring what is needed.

And gain, after loss, is truer then

For the steadfast; and before rest comes toil.
