يا آل لطف اللّه آلَ إليكمُ

يا آل لطف اللّه آلَ إليكمُ

قصرُ الجزيرة بعد إسماعيلا

O house of Lutf Allah, to you has passed

O kin of Allah's kindness, kin of Ismail

al-Jazira Palace, after Ismail.

The palace of Al Jazeera is now yours

فاستقبلوا فيه الوفود وسيمةً

فاستقبلوا فيه الوفود وسيمةً

والدهرَ حرّاً والنعيمَ جزيلا

والدهرَ حرّاً والنعيمَ جزيلا

So welcome there delegations of fine bearing,

So receive the glorious delegations in it

and noble days, and abundant bliss.

While time passes by hotly and bliss copious

أحرزتمُ خُلُقَ الملائكِ طاهراً

أحرزتمُ خُلُقَ الملائكِ طاهراً

وملكتمُ سكنَ الملوكِ جميلا

وملكتمُ سكنَ الملوكِ جميلا

You have gained the angels' pure character,

You have attained the angels' pure morals

and made the kings' beautiful dwelling your own.

And owned the beautiful dwellings of kings

عقبى الذين لمالِهمْ ولجاههمْ

عقبى الذين لمالِهمْ ولجاههمْ

في كل ناحيةٍ مكارمُ طولى

في كل ناحيةٍ مكارمُ طولى

Such is the reward of those whose wealth and standing

Progeny of those whose wealth and status

yield far-reaching benefactions in every quarter.

In every region has noble, long favors

أنس الوجود بكم فلو شارفتمُ

أنس الوجود بكم فلو شارفتمُ

جبلاً لأصبح ناضراً مأهولا

جبلاً لأصبح ناضراً مأهولا

Creation has found joy in you; were you to approach

The existence is delighted with you, so if you dwelled

a mountain, it would become verdant and peopled.

A mountain, it would turn verdant, busy

ولكل سمح في البلادِ صنائعٌ

ولكل سمح في البلادِ صنائعٌ

وأرى صنيعكمُ أعزَّ جليلا

وأرى صنيعكمُ أعزَّ جليلا

And every generous soul has good works in the land,

Each generous one in the countries has industries

and I deem your beneficence most precious and sublime.

Yet I see your work the most precious, sublime

وأجلُّ غَاياتِ الكرام من الغنى

وأجلُّ غَاياتِ الكرام من الغنى

ما سرَّ أفئدةً وراض عقولا

ما سرَّ أفئدةً وراض عقولا

And the noblest end the generous seek from wealth

The noblest goals of the generous, of wealth

is what gladdens hearts and cultivates minds.

Are those that cheer hearts and please minds

الشام أكبرُ في الممالكِ مظهراً

الشام أكبرُ في الممالكِ مظهراً

بكمُ وأعظمُ حجةً ودليلا

بكمُ وأعظمُ حجةً ودليلا

Al-Sham is greater in stature among the kingdoms,

Greater in the kingdoms, more splendid

through you, and stronger in argument and proof.

Sham is, because of you, proof and sign

جاريتمُ الأردنَّ فيه ندىً وكم

جاريتمُ الأردنَّ فيه ندىً وكم

جاريتمُ كرماً بمصرَ النيلا

جاريتمُ كرماً بمصرَ النيلا

You have rivaled the Jordan there in bounty, and how often

You let the Jordan in it run nectar and how much

have you rivaled the Nile in generosity in Egypt!

Generosity you let flow in Egyptian Nile

ونصرتمُ أحرارَه وحماتَه

ونصرتمُ أحرارَه وحماتَه

وضمنتمُ استقلالَه المأمولا

وضمنتمُ استقلالَه المأمولا

And you have supported its free men and its defenders,

You supported its free ones, protected it

and guaranteed its hoped-for independence.

And guaranteed its hoped independence

وعسى أرى في الشرق من نجبائكم

وعسى أرى في الشرق من نجبائكم

بطلاً يقود الجيشَ والأسطولا

بطلاً يقود الجيشَ والأسطولا

And may I see in the East, among your noble men,

May I see rise in the East one of your nobles

a hero leading the army and the fleet.

A hero leading army and navy

وتقرُّ للعربِ الممالكُ بالعلى

وتقرُّ للعربِ الممالكُ بالعلى

وتكرِّم الأجيالُ هذا الجيلا

وتكرِّم الأجيالُ هذا الجيلا

And may the kingdoms acknowledge the Arabs' preeminence,

And for the Arabs kingdoms submit haughtily

and generations honor this generation.

And eras honor this generation

هنأتكمْ بالقصر أقضى بعض ما

هنأتكمْ بالقصر أقضى بعض ما

يقضي عليَّ به ندى ميشيلا

يقضي عليَّ به ندى ميشيلا

I have congratulated you on the palace, discharging part of what
