كل يوم نرى ونسمع مهدي

ياً ينادي في قومه اتبعوني

Every day we see and hear a Mahdi

Every day we see and hear a misguided one

calling out among his people, “Follow me!”

Calling out among his people, "Follow me!"

موهماً أنه رسول من الل

موهماً أنه رسول من الل

ه أتى يستعيد مجد الدين

ه أتى يستعيد مجد الدين

Fostering the illusion that he is a messenger from God,

Deceiving them that he's a messenger from God

come to restore the glory of the faith,

Who came to restore the glory of religion.

وهو خالٍ من التجارب والقو

وهو خالٍ من التجارب والقو

وة والعلم والهدى واليقين

وة والعلم والهدى واليقين

though he lacks experience and strength,

Yet he is devoid of experience, strength,

and knowledge, guidance, and certainty.

Knowledge, guidance, certainty and faith.

فإذا التف حوله الناس أغرا

فإذا التف حوله الناس أغرا

هم بإيقاد كل شر كمين

هم بإيقاد كل شر كمين

Then, when the people gather around him, he incites

So when people gather around him, he lures them

them to kindle every lurking evil,

By igniting every evil ambush.

وادعى أنه بذلك مأمو

وادعى أنه بذلك مأمو

ر من الوحي كالنبي الأمين

ر من الوحي كالنبي الأمين

and claims that he is commanded to do so

And he claims he is thus commanded

by revelation, like the trustworthy Prophet.

From revelation, like the honest Prophet.

ومتى قام في جماعته يط

ومتى قام في جماعته يط

لب إعلان سره المكنون

لب إعلان سره المكنون

And whenever he rises among his followers, seeking

And when he stands among his group demanding

to proclaim his hidden secret,

To declare his concealed secret,

صدمته من الأعادي جموع

صدمته من الأعادي جموع

وسقته في الحرب كأس المنون

وسقته في الحرب كأس المنون

hosts of enemies assail him

Hordes of enemies assault him

and make him drink, in battle, the cup of death.

And make him drink the cup of death.

فمضى مورثاً عشيرته كل

فمضى مورثاً عشيرته كل

لَ بلاء مر وذكر مهين

لَ بلاء مر وذكر مهين

So he passes away, bequeathing to his clan every

So he passes on leaving his tribe with

bitter affliction and a disgraceful memory.

Bitter woe and disgraceful memory.

وهي ذكرى للمسلمين فهلا

وهي ذكرى للمسلمين فهلا

خذلوا كل كاذب مفتون

خذلوا كل كاذب مفتون

This is a lesson for Muslims—why, then, do they not

A lesson to Muslims, so why not

forsake every deluded liar,

Desert each deluded deceiver,

ورأوا أن دينهم في غنى عن

ورأوا أن دينهم في غنى عن

دعوة من مضلل مجنون

دعوة من مضلل مجنون

and see that their faith has no need of

And see that their religion needs no

a call from a madman who leads others astray?

Call from a mad misguided preacher.
