You did justice to the faith of light, and to it awoke

And you went on recounting to those who followed blindness

What it contains of practices and rulings.

And you described the outcome of delusion and what was wrought

By the folly of minds and the levity of judgment.

And you built a lofty edifice for morality,

From which the destroyers' pickaxes recoil.

Write and speak, and exalt your people's renown.

This is storytelling, wondrous and sublime.
