  1. تولى ربيع العمر مني واقبلت

    بجملتها الدنيا على خريفا

    The spring of life has left me, and now comes

    the whole world upon me as autumn.

  2. فلا غرو ان كنتم ترون جوائبي

    تناثر اوراقا تحف حفيفا

    So it is no wonder if you see my Jawāʾib

    scatter like leaves, with a rustling sound.
