يا  عويناتيَ  التي قلتُ ضاعت

يا عويناتيَ التي قلتُ ضاعت

وهي   معقودة   بعيني  وأُذني

وهي معقودة بعيني وأُذني

O my spectacles, which I said were lost,

O my eyes that I said were lost

While they were fastened to my eye and ear.

Yet remain tied to my eyes and ears

لم  تضع  تلكم  العوينات  لكن

لم تضع تلكم العوينات لكن

ضاع مني عقلي وأُذني وعيني

ضاع مني عقلي وأُذني وعيني

Those spectacles were not lost, but

Those eyes were not lost, but

I lost my mind, my ear, and my eye.

My mind, ears and eyes were lost from me
