فعجزت عن زخّاره المتدفق
Its wave has swept the sea of poetry toward me,
The sea of poetry has guided its waves towards me,
So I was powerless against its surging torrent.
Yet I fall short of containing its gushing waters.

حسبي بهذا الشعر رزقاً وافراً
انif كنتI was شيئاanything غيرَهother than it لمnot أُرزقI was granted
ان كنت شيئا غيرَه لم أُرزق
This poetry suffices me as plentiful sustenance,
Let this poetry be sufficient provision for me,
Even if I have been granted nothing besides it.
If I were to be given naught but it, I'd be content.
