Suʿād’s dwelling-place has fallen into decay, and now
The rain has brought the garden meadows joy;
its site is worn away, like a threadbare cloak,
Its meadows have been adorned, like table cloths.

desolate, after being an inhabited camp with the company
Worn out after being so lively,
of Sulaymā, when she would set out in the morning like an oryx doe.
With beauty, like a white doe resting after grazing.
