غرٌّ وما فقهَ الكلامَ  ولا أرى

غرٌّ وما فقهَ الكلامَ ولا أرى

فيما أراهُ .. متيمًّا ..  إلّاكِ

فيما أراهُ .. متيمًّا .. إلّاكِ

He is naïve and has not understood the words; nor do I see

He is a stranger, he does not understand these words

In what I see, anyone lovestruck but you.

In all I see, I see only you

لو كانَ من أهل الصبابةِ والهوى

لو كانَ من أهل الصبابةِ والهوى

قادتهُ ..  نحو المشتهى .. عيناكِ

قادتهُ .. نحو المشتهى .. عيناكِ

If he were among those of ardent longing and love,

If he were a man of passion and desire

Your eyes would have led him toward what he desired.

Your eyes would lead him to what he yearns for
